Chiswick House

Chiswick House Chiswick House dates back to the 1700s and is a rare example of a neo-Palladian villa set in stunning historic gardens.

A popular visitor attraction, Chiswick House last year underwent a multi-million pound preservation programme to restore its gardens. The upkeep of this historic attraction is of utmost importance.

Stone Technical Services has completed a major restoration and conservation project at Chiswick House, working with English Heritage, to restore the boundary wall and public gates.

Stone’s specialist restoration team removed any loose debris before carefully dismantling the old wall and then re-building and re-pointing it using a combination of the existing and also new materials.

Our ironmongery experts replaced the pedestrian gates using traditional methods and reinstated the gate leaf and decorative ironmongery in keeping with the original gates.

Saint Pauls Cathedral, London

Refurbishment of the Balustrades at St Paul’s Cathedral Stone Technical Services has been working in partnership with English Heritage to carry out a refurbishment of the balustrades at St Paul’s Cathedral to prevent further damage from weather and pollution. Stone is also renewing the cathedral’s lightning protection system. Stone is also the appointed contractor to carry out lightning protection works on St Paul’s Cathedral. Preservation works - Lambeth Palace Stone is King of the castle and gets an appointment at the Palace Darlington high-level specialist maintenance company, Stone Technical Services, has secured two prestigious new contracts to complete vital preservation works on Lambeth Palace in London and Lincoln Castle, Lincoln. Lincoln Castle

Ancient Monument - Lincoln Castle Lincoln Castle, which is a Scheduled Ancient Monument protected by English Heritage, was built in 1068 by William the Conqueror and still retains many of its original features. The castle is home to one of only four surviving originals of the Magna Carta. Stone Technical Services Limited is carrying out Defrassing and essential conservation works for Mouchel PLC.

The Chapter House was originally home to the King’s Great Council, which later became Parliament.
